Abstract

In this 21st century global competitive world, organizations/companies are striving to get a competitive advantage and to achieve their goals and objectives. So the organizations are developing effective strategies and hiring skillful employees so that to survive and to get a high hierarchical position in the global business environment. Nowadays in this global business world, leaders are concentrating on emotional intelligence and consider it as one of the major contributing elements in the enhancement of employee’s performance and the organization’s success.The aim of this research is to meticulously examine the impact of emotional intelligence on the employee’s performance of the Home and Tribal Affairs department. Positivism philosophy was adopted, a deductive approach was used, survey method was used to collect data through questionnaires. The research is quantitative so the mono method was adopted. The data was collected at a single time from the sample population, hence the current study fit in the Cross-Sectional method. This study has been conducted on the employees of the Home and Tribal Affairs department. 211 structured questionnaires were distributed randomly among the different rank/levels of employees and got their feedback by answering all the questions available in the questionnaire and providing detailed information about the variables under study.Regression analysis was applied to analyze the impact of emotional intelligence on employees’ performance. The regression analysis’s result revealed a positive and significant effect of emotional intelligence on the performance of employees.
